LinkedIn can be a great way to connect with contacts. It can also be an excellent medium to share valuable content and ideas with your professional network. Very often, attorneys add their website and/or blog URL to their profiles and think this is sufficient. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. To effectively syndicate your copy, you’re going to need to be a bit more proactive.
Each time you post new copy to your site, take a few moments to log into your LinkedIn account and post an update. You will find the update field at the top of the home screen upon logging in and can simply paste in the URL for your new content. By default, LinkedIn will pull the title from the page but to give it greater appeal to your contacts, try customizing the description to help it stand out. When your contacts login over the next few days, they will see this article and can easily click on the link, like the post, comment on it or share the information with their contacts. How’s that for mass syndication?!
To gain even greater visibility, encourage other staff members in your office to share the copy on their LinkedIn pages.
